MORE ABOUT WEBDOC HACKATHONS - Interactive Documentaries
Estúdio CRUA was created by Mansur e Marina Thomé which have over 15 years of experience in documentary and multimedia production.

The "Hackathon Webdoc" project was launched by Estúdio CRUA in 2017 to gather and train designers, filmmakers, programmers, researchers, journalists, architects and community representatives to produce interactive documentaries about the territories of São Paulo in intensive marathons. While mapping the city and promoting training in the field of interactive documentary, Estudio CRUA created opportunities for communities and filmmakers to discuss social and human rights issues. With more than 100 creators involved, Estudio CRUA published, among others, the webdocs Rizoma Urbano [www.rizomaurbano.com.br], Retiro Retratos [www.retiroretratos.com.br] and Entre Vilas [www.entrevilasdoc.com.br], which form a trilogy of narratives of the resistance of territories in process of gentrification.
